Bears’ Top-30 Visits Could Hint at Draft Approach (2025)

Last Wednesday was the final day the NFL allows teams like the Bears to bring in prospects for top-30 visits. A pattern from the previous few drafts may allow us to guess who the Bears will target with their early picks in the 2025 NFL Draft.

Bears’ Top-30 Visits Could Hint at Draft Approach

The NFL Draft is right around the corner, and all the hard work the scouting departments have done to this point is about to pay off. The Bears love using their top-30 visits to truly get to know the prospect after seeing their talent on tape.

However, there has been somewhat of a pattern since Ryan Poles has taken over as general manager. Every single one of the Bears’ draft picks selected in the first two rounds since 2022 had gone on a top-30 visit with the Bears.

Caleb Williams, Rome Odunze, Darnell Wright, Gervon Dexter, Tyrique Stevenson, Kyler Gordon, and Jaquan Brisker all met with the Bears before their respective drafts on a top-30 visit. Therefore, it is a safe bet to assume each of the Bears’ three selections at picks 10, 39, and 41 are all on the Bears’ top-30 visits list.

The List

This is the list of all the players that went on a top-30 visit for the Bears in 2025.

  • Ashton Jeanty RB
  • Will Campbell OT (not confirmed, but rumored)
  • Shemar Stewart DE
  • Josh Conerly Jr. OT
  • Omarion Hampton RB
  • Jahdae Barron CB
  • Mason Taylor TE
  • Kaleb Johnson RB
  • Jonah Siviinaea OG
  • Tre Harris WR
  • Isaiah Bond WR
  • Kyle Williams WR
  • Anthony Belton OT
  • Dylan Fairchild OG
  • Omarr Norman-Lott DT
  • Jaylin Lane WR
  • Brashard Smith RB
  • Nick Martin LB
  • Jordan Hancock DB
  • Jalin Conyers TE
  • John Williams OT
  • Beaux Collins WR
  • Dontae Fleming WR
  • Addison West OL
  • Kelly Akharaiyi WR

Potential Targets In the First Two Rounds

The Bears can’t select every single one of these players with their picks, but we can make some solid guesses on who could be their main focus early in the draft.

At 10, they could target any of Jeanty, Campbell, or Stewart. From what it sounds like in the media, the Bears love Jeanty and would select him as their top choice if he fell to them at pick 10.

Unfortunately for them, there’s a chance he gets picked before they’re on the clock.

It does seem quite clear that Chicago will look to take a running back somewhat early in this year’s draft, as they brought in four running backs for visits. Johnson would likely be a second-round choice, but Hampton could be a fail-safe option if Jeanty is no longer available in the first.

There are also quite a few other common positions the Bears decided to evaluate through this process. They brought in a large chunk of offensive linemen (7) and wide receivers (7) as well.

Most of their second-round approach will stem from what they do at the tenth pick. If they land Jeanty, they will likely avoid any running backs in the following rounds. If they select offensive or defensive line at 10, it would make sense for them to look towards receiver or running back with their next few picks.

None of us are in the room with Ryan Poles and company, but one thing is certain. When the Bears bring in a player for a top-30 visit, they are very much on their radar to be a Chicago Bear.
